PI - Final

The trip to PI is now over. At the start I thought "WTF am I doing here?" The weather was cold, windy and wet. I am so glad that I decided to cage it over rather than take the bike. It didn't stop raining at any time of the trip over to Ballarat.

I arrived in Ballarat at 14:30 and guess what? It was cold, windy and wet. It must be due to the fact it is Victoria. I am beginning to wonder if they ever have any warm weather!

Things didn't improve much on the Saturday morning when I left Ballarat at 05:30. Guess what? It was cold, windy and wet. But wait, there is more. Heading towards Melbourne I noticed the road turning white. WTF?! It was snowing. I had a very enjoyable snowball fight with myself. I won!

I called in to see both Andy & Leah + Maggie & Al. Guess what, apart from not seeing them and getting my Hugzs from the girls, it was cold, windy and wet. I was beginning to see a trend here.

Arriving at PI at about 09:30 I caught up with Jodzs and GS and put my gear away before heading off to the track. You guessed it, it was cold, windy and wet.

On the Sunday It started out cold, windy and wet. I waited until 11:30 to decide if I was going to the track.

Decision has been made - I am driving over. The weather forecast for PI is wet, very windy and cold .
The car is packed and ready for my leaving at 07:30 Friday.

For the 2011 Superbikes I am planning on riding over (stop laughing you lot). I am going to plan for shorter trips between stops and take longer to get there.

Mmmmm... do I ride or drive over? Maybe I need to ride and take pics so that I can prove that I do indeed go past the letterbox!

Phillip Island

This time next week I shall be at PI knocking back an ale with Smack, Teds, GS and Jodzs. I will of course miss my Beer Wench - she is getting a litlle bit slack of late. She blames her job. YR!
